4dAi for Linux
4dAi as an app on Linux: Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, Debian 12 or newer, Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, elementary OS, Zorin OS and others that install .deb packages. It is about 0.6 MB.
Download 4dAi for Linux (.deb)
- Reminders and alarms come on time, also with the window closed and with no internet.
- An alarm keeps ringing until you press Stop or Snooze.
- Sign in with Google in your browser, speak to the AI agent, and add photos, as on the web.
Installing it
- Open a terminal and paste this (it takes the file from Downloads), then type your password:
Or double-click 4dai.deb and click Install in the Software app.
cp ~/Downloads/4dai.deb /tmp/ && sudo apt install /tmp/4dai.deb - Open 4dAi from your list of apps.
If you install it straight from Downloads instead, apt may end with a note that the download was “performed unsandboxed as root”. That is only a note: 4dAi is installed. It appears because apt’s own user may not look into your home folder; copying the file to /tmp first, as above, avoids it.
After that
- Sign in with Google. Your browser opens the sign-in. When you are done, the browser asks to open 4dAi: allow it, and 4dAi opens signed in.
- Closing the window keeps 4dAi running, so that reminders and alarms come. 4dAi also starts by itself when you log in. To stop that, untick Open at login in its menu (top right). Quit 4dAi in the same menu closes it fully.
- On Fedora, Arch and other Linux without .deb packages, use 4dAi in your browser for now.
