4dAi for Mac
4dAi as an app on your Mac. It works on Macs with Apple chips (M1 and newer) and on Intel Macs, with macOS 12 (Monterey) or later. It is about 2 MB.
- Reminders and alarms come on time, even when the app is closed or there is no internet.
- An alarm keeps ringing until you press Stop or Snooze.
- Sign in with Google, speak to the AI agent, and add photos, as on the web.
Opening it the first time
- Open the downloaded file, 4dAi.dmg. Drag 4dAi into Applications.
- Open 4dAi from Applications. The Mac says it cannot check the app. Close that message.
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Scroll down to the message about 4dAi and click Open Anyway. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
This button opens that page of System Settings for you (your browser may ask first). The same shortcut is in the downloaded file: Allow 4dAi to open.
You do this only once. The Mac asks because 4dAi is not from the App Store and is not yet signed with Apple’s paid developer certificate. Apple explains these steps in Open a Mac app from an unknown developer ↗.
After that
- Sign in with Google. A sign-in window opens, and it closes by itself when you are done.
- Allow notifications when the Mac asks, so that reminders and alarms can come.
- Closing the window keeps 4dAi running, so that alarms ring. To have it ready after a restart, choose Open at Login in the 4dAi menu.
